Hysteretic Behavior of Concrete-Filled L-Section Steel Tubular Columns under Cyclic Loading

Abstract
An experimental investigation on hysteretic behavior of seven concrete-filled L-section steel column specimens subjected to lateral load and constant axial load is introduced. The effects of different axial compression force ratios, inner stiffeners, and way of loading have been studied. The results show that the inner stiffeners can obviously postpone the buckling of steel plate, and improve energy dissipation and ductility behaviors of the members. Furthermore, in order to test the feasibility of numerical method and select appropriate constitutive relations of steel and concrete, the numerical method is adopted to analyze the load-displace behavior. The results obtained by the calculation are in good agreement with that obtained by experiments.
