Professional Identity Development

Professional identity is a subject that we all know by experience but not much is written on. The paper is written to discuss the development of professional identity and its integration with the self development in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry. Development of both of these structures are evaluated on a six step schemata. The role of the trainers in the development of the professional identity of the trainers and the tools that can be used during this developmental process are discussed.
