Determination for mechanical constants of rubber Mooney-Rivlin model

Abstract
The mechanical constants of rubber Mooney Rivlin model C 1 and C 2 were determined with nonlinear FEA and axial compression test.The procedure for determining C 1 and C 2 was as follows:the sum of C 1 and C 2 was calculated from the hardness of rubber material at first;then the compressive stress strain curve of rubber material with different C 2 / C 1 was simulated by non linear FEA and compared to the measured curve; C 2 / C 1,with which the simulated curve was well fitted to the measured one,was the real C 2 / C 1 of rubber material,and thus C 1 and C 2 were further determined from the real C 2 / C 1.
