LOS VENCEDORES VENCIDOS: LA PECULIAR MEMORIA DE LA DIVISIÓN AZUL, 1945-2005

espanolEl articulo analiza la construccion del relato dominante sobre la memoria de la Division Azul desde el final de la II Guerra Mundial hasta la actualidad. Para ello, se destacan por un lado los factores condicionantes de los marcos sociales de su gestacion, como fueron la necesidad del regimen franquista de presentar a la Division Azul como una empresa exclusivamente anticomunista y el desencanto de los veteranos de Rusia ante la evolucion tecnocratica y catolica de la Espana de Franco. Por otro lado, se detallan los mecanismos textuales y paratextuales a traves de los que se configuro un relato divisionario que impregno la percepcion colectiva hasta la actualidad de la experiencia de los combatientes de la Division Azul, y que constituye un ejemplo perfecto de acomodacion entre memorias individuales y memoria colectiva. EnglishThis paper analyses the construction of a master narrative about the memory of the Spanish "Blue Division" from the end of the Second World War to the present day. The first part examines the factors underlying the social framework from which the Blue Division evolved, such as the need for the Franco Regime to present it as an exclusively anticommunist initiative, and the progressive disenchantment of the veterans of the Russian front with the technocratic and Catholic redefinition of Franco's Spain. The second part analyses in detail the discursive strategies that helped to shape a divisive narrative which has pervaded Spanish public perception of the experience of Spanish soldiers on the Eastern Front up to the present day. This may be considered as a perfect example of accommodation between individual and collective memory.
