Abstract

THE MINdful THERapIST T his excellent text provides well-produced information on how mindfulness techniques and strategies can help develop ‘resilient individuals within resonant organisations’. Busy organisations like busy families, can often feel stressful and fragmented and occupational-loneliness. The author describes clearly, habits of mindfulness, skills of self-awareness and practices of meditation, which are acceptable to a work setting. He provides a simple applicable message that resilient working likes are built on everyday, every minute habits and exercises that help us pay attention, in the present moment, to ourselves, and our colleagues—more mindful working can result in greater work satisfaction, efficiency and effectiveness. Topics covered include: mindfulness practice at work; managing negative stress; learning how not to react; positive relationships and mindfulness for leaders. This is an excellent resource and highly recommended.
