Abstract
: The main aim of this research is reaching suggested procedures to build school capacity for continuous improvement in Egypt. The research presents a theoretical model of the ability of school improvement, analyzes in which case the Egyptian schools are, and determines the differences between accredited and not accredited schools in the ability of school improvement. The research employed the Methodology of Triangulation, so it mixes between the Quantitative and Qualitative Approach in the case study. Research uses more than a tool: (a) the questionnaire to collect quantitative data,(b) the interview to collect qualitative data. It was also relying on more than one source of data collection (teachers, school principals, and Quality officials in education departments). The research results can be summarized mainly as follows: The overall level of the ability of Egyptian schools to continuous improvement is low, and there were statistically significant differences in all dimensions of school capacity between accredited schools and non-accredited schools in the level of the ability of school improvement in favor of accredited schools.
