Norm,Reliability and Validity of Children and Adolescents' QOL Scale

Objective To develop the norm of Children and Adolescents' Quality of Life(QOL) Scale in China and test the reliability and validity, and to provide reference for the research on adolescents' QOL in different areas or with different characteristics. Methods A stratified random cluster sample of 17 269 students in China were investigated with the children and adolescents' QOL scale according to the census data in 2000, and the urban and country norm of the scale were respectively established. Results The sample was representative and the reliability and validity were accessible. Conclusion The reliability and validity attaches the primary intend and the norm is suitable for estimating the Children and Adolescents' QOL in China.
