Its effects in cosmetology were described in detail, including its use as a chemical peel in beauty salons as well as its role in the treatment of skin diseases and skin lesions. In addition, the potential side effects accompanying chemoexfoliation procedures were described. Salicylic acid is widely used in many kinds of cosmetics. It can be used alone or in combination with other ingredients in complex therapies. It is worth noting that it not only acts as an active ingredient, but also has preservative properties.
