Abstract
In this article I propose, based on a review of the life trajectory of Graciela Burian Rojas, to problematize a series of gender and class contradictions that defined her experience as a worker in the administrative sector of the steel industry Dalmine-Siderca (part of Techint group) since 1970, as a union delegate of the Union Obrera Metalurgica between 1974 and 1975, as a victim and survivor of State Terrorism from 1975, and as an exile until the present day. Although Graciela's voice has a central role in the development of the argument, her life trajectory is crossed with the analysis of more general elements of the capital-labor conflict in the steel plant from historical sources such as memories and balance sheets of the company, police´s intelligence files, testimonies of other militants and former workers of the plant, and information from a sociological study of the company's staff carried out in 1969 by a research group at the request of the management. Finally, I propose some reflections in relation to workers' history and memory.
