Las desgracias padecidas por las madres: mirada a las publicaciones de la Escuela Moderna de Barcelona (1901-1925)

The Escuela Moderna of Barcelona created its own editorial to disseminate on educational and social issues. In this article we focus on issues related to the analysis of society above all. The aim is to identify the difficulties of the mothers during the Restauracion borbonica from the rationalist perspective. To achieve the stated aim, we reviewed publications of the indicated institution. The subjects of the documents are Philosophy, Medicine, Pedagogy, Religion and Sociology. The temporality of the same proceeds from 1901 to 1925. We have examined bulletins, various documents, dramatic documents, stories, brochures and conferences. From this procedure, we identified that the mothers suffered four types of deficiencies. These deficiencies were economic, of knowledge, of moral and of health.
