Abstract
ABSTRACT COVID-19 has hit us all unexpectedly. Nevertheless, this pandemic requires decisive actions. Taking this as a starting point, this empirical study investigates how small companies from Estonia have been coping with COVID-19 so far. The article contributes to the study of crisis management in general and crisis management in small firms by providing the Quick, Adapt, and Mobilized framework, which shows how small firms within a short period of time adapt to the new situation and initiate both reactive and proactive responses to mobilize old and new capacities to increase the chance of emerging successfully and strengthened from this sudden and external crisis.
