Review of Literatures on Human Settlements

The literatures of human settlements abroad are reviewed thoroughly in the article,which are classified into four schools,i.e.city planning,esistics,geography,and ecology.Then the practices in Britain,the United States,France,Germany,Netherlands,and Sweden are summed up.The trends of human settlements development in the world are summerized from the changes of themes The World Habit Day.In the last part of the article,some inspirations are put forward to our country including theoretical system,research methods and contents,building and managing practices.
