International Perspectives on Diversity in ELT is a book associated with the concept of culturally appro-priate and sustainable pedagogies. It examines the advantages and disadvantages of linguistic variety in English Language Teaching (ELT). It emphasises diversity in ELT, which helps students better understand both the curriculum theme and broader societal challenges. The book can be regarded through an intersectional lens, highlighting all possible overlapping parts of identity construction. It teaches readers about the fundamental concepts of intercultural competence and intercultural communicative competence and how to apply them in the classrooms. This book aims to provide English language teachers with case studies and culturally responsive exercises that will help them incorporate diversity and inclusion into their professional practices.
