Lectotypification and Correct Authorship of the Name Viscum ramosissimum (Santalaceae, Tribe Visceae)

This paper addresses a long-standing nomenclatural confusion concerning the authorship of the name Viscum ramosissimum. Through a detailed review of its protologue, author citations and original materials, we conclude that it should be V. ramosissimum Wall. ex Wight & Arn. We also lectotypify the name in accordance with the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants.
